"Though he has gradually been spending more time mixing and making records
then playing them, Paul (Harris) has continued to be successful as a DJ, now
mainly playing the kind of celebrity parties you don't even know about unless
you're part of the elite"
(taken from
www.dirtyvegas.com)
Paul Harris, Grammy winning artist with cutting edge band Dirty Vegas,
started out his wildly popular career like most aspiring young DJ's- an
unexplainable draw to the music, and an all-consuming love of the beats and
everything that was disco. After putting in his time at the usual pubs and clubs
that frequent young talent, Paul started to be discovered by producers and
promoters - mainly, Ministry of Sound. Soon after, he claimed residencies at the
hippest nights, Miss D's Playboy @ Madam Jo Jo's, the infamous Thursday nights
at Kabaret, and a number of premier and launch parties spinning for the likes of
Kylie, Madonna, Mario Testino, Fendi, and Juicy Couture. Then, in 2000, a chance
meeting with old friend Ben Harris led to the formation of "Hydrogen Rockers".
Their first release "Musica" became available on CDR, which led to an intense
underground buzz that caught the attention of Plastica of London, and Yoshitoshi
of North America, both of whom ran with the new group.
As well as creating their own music, Paul and Ben turned to remixing. With
the boys having a seemingly 'golden touch', their supporters (including Sasha,
Digweed, Howells, Pete Tong, Deep-Dish, and Steve Lawler) grooved alongside
dance-floor-fillers like, 'Sono Keep Control', 'Lil Louis Blackout' and 'J Magic
Love is Not a Game'. Lightening rarely strikes twice in the same place, but a
second chance meeting brought Paul together with another old friend, Steve
Smith. Steve presented a demo CD that he had been working on, one of which Paul
and Ben developed a house version of. This track went onto become the classic,
"Days Go By", and Dirty Vegas was born with an essential new tune under their
belts.
A DJ by heart and by trade, Paul's transformation of his music into a band
formation came as quite a change in what he had become accustomed to, but
overcame the shock, and finalized their debut album, Dirty Vegas. After
receiving much acclaim with the Days Go By single, a third bolt of lightening
struck- the single was picked up for a national US advertising campaign for
Mitsubishi. The advert had a massive impact on the US market and the record
became one of the most requested tracks on American radio. The album debuted on
the US Billboard at number seven and went gold in the US and silver in the UK. A
tour followed with Moby, an MTV award nomination, three Dancestar awards
(including record of the year), and of course, the biggie - The Grammy for Best
Dance Single. The boys were so convinced they weren't going to win the Grammy
that they were actually in the bar when their award was announced! The coveted
award led to two years of solid touring playing at all the major festivals in
both the UK and Europe. Then it was back in the studio to start on the follow up
album "One", released in October 2004. "One" went on to reach the Top 50 in the
charts, just at the time that Paul, while stuck in the studio recording, started
to miss the feeling and atmosphere of making and playing house music.
Paul's DJ career took off with a running start once again. Throughout 2005,
he played everywhere from Melbourne to Moscow, Singapore to Curitiba, NYC to LA.
Production also went from strength to strength; while remixing a whole multitude
of tracks, Paul's last of '05 went straight to the Top 10. Studio performance
has also been superb, and his partnership with Jay P has proved to be the most
successful of all, with twelve tracks recorded under various guises, to be
released around Miami's Winter Music Conference, 2006.
Due to Paul's heavy global DJ commitments, he is very much in demand all
around the world. In 2005, Paul played at the Serpentine Summer party, (noted as
THE summer party of the social calendar), and for A-Listers such as Jude &
Sienna, Kate Moss, Madonna, and the best of the world's music connoisseurs and
appreciators. He continues to support charities and local organizations by
donating his time and name, and never stops his world tours. Since the demand
for Paul's talents are so high, he had to regrettably pull his much-loved
residency at London's Kabaret Phophercy. Though still a guest DJ while in town,
Paul has taken on the residency of the world's best venues. Highlights of the
past year have been his first tour of OZ in June, New Years Eve 2006 in
Tribehouse Germany, and already, Paul has been busy in the studio this 2006, and
will continue his hot trend with tours of OZ, Asia, Canada, and the USA.
See if you can sample a taste of his self-proclaimed "Balearic Beats", the
translation for anything and everything that Paul fancies, thrown into a
powerful concoction that screams of Paul's roots and passion...usually seen at
high-brow fashion shows and private parties! Pure talent, pure
experience...experience for yourself, the one and only Paul Harris. |
Mixing experience with a driving performance of bangin' electro and speed
garage, this Santiago, Chile native has made a new home in Canada,

crowd-pleaser. Titus1 has played alongside Sander Van Doorn, Amber D, Suzy
Solar, Fred Baker, Judge Jules, Heavygrinder, Tech-Itch, Christopher
Lawrence, Marcel Woods, Johan Gielen, Scott Bond, DJ Mea and Stonebridge,

Although Marc is still only 28, his DJ career has already spanned over a decade
and in that time he has established himself as one of the finest DJ’s around the
world.
Marc’s DJ career took off in the mid nineties when he became resident at “The
Vibe” where his crowd pleasing sets brought him to the attention of many other
DJs including Jazzy M (Ministry of Sound resident at the time). Jazzy claimed
“This is one of the most talented young DJ’s I’ve ever heard”, and promptly
introduced him to the legendary club. After Marc’s debut in 1997, he became a
regular fixture pleasing the Ministry of Sound faithful.
In 1999 Ministry of Sound were so impressed with Marc’s progress, they offered
him one of the most prestigious residencies in the world, Fridays at Pacha in
Ibiza. A position previously held by Erick Morillo and CJ Mackintosh: a sure
testament to Marc’s talent.
It was as exclusive resident at Pacha that Marc firmly established himself as a
globally recognised DJ. Week in week out, Marc played along side the biggest
names in the world including Deep Dish, Masters at Work, Roger Sanchez and
Derrick Carter to one of the most glamorous and knowledgeable crowds anywhere in
the world. After dancing all night to one of Marc’s sets Danny Rampling was
quoted as saying “It was one of the best sets I have heard in Ibiza for years”
on his Radio 1 show. Marc can also often be heard playing mammoth eight hour
sets in Pacha’s Global room going from the darkest deepest tribal sets alongside
the likes of Mr C, Halo and Hipp-e, Ralph Lawson and Seb Fontaine. Again,
testament to just how versatile Marc can be. 2003 will be Marc’s fourth year as
resident at Pacha, Ibiza.
As well as Pacha, Marc has also held exclusive residencies at Ibiza’s other
super club, Space on a Saturday morning for Ministry magazine, where he can be
heard rocking the crowd on the famous terrace, with a mixture of funky and
uplifting house.
In 2000, Marc also had the privilege of being asked to be the first ever tour
resident for Ministry of Sound. A residency that has seen Marc becomes one of
Ministry’s greatest exports.
It is in this guise as tour resident that has seen Marc’s talents introduced to
different clubs and crowds all around the world. Marc has played to thousands at
festivals in Brazil and South Africa whilst also having the privilege of opening
some of the best clubs in the world such as Pacha in Barcelona and performing at
key dance music events such as the Millennium Dome. Marc’s busy schedule can see
him travelling to different countries every weekend which has made sure the
demand for him internationally is huge, with residencies in Spain, Portugal,
Sweden, France and Norway to name but a few.
Marc is also resident at Ministry of Sound in London where you can catch him
rocking the crowd in the main room and the bar every month at one of the best
house nights in the country. A fact compounded by Muzik Magazine whose inclusion
of him in their “Those who rocked it” section twice in the last four months,
claiming “We are not worthy“, adding Marc to an exclusive list of the best DJ’S
at the top of their game.
As well as DJing Marc has also enjoyed prolific success as a producer, most
notably with East 57th Street which saw him team up with Julian Johnah (M
Factor, Stella Brown) and Jazz “n” Groove on the top 20 hit “Saturday” on AM/PM.
Marc has also released tracks on Ministry of Sound and its subsidiary Ride, as
well as Azuli, under the pseudonyms Bush Baby, TGW, Friday Night Traffic and
Escobar. Having taken a year out to fulfil his DJ commitments, Marc is now in
the studio working with Justin Spier of Nocturnal and Crescendo fame. A project
championed by Smokin Jo, Steve Lawler, Ricky Morrison, Jazzy M and new found fan
Pete Tong.
Releases via the Hughes & Spier alliance have included huge track “War/Idiot
Box” released on the Elementary Group label, which was included on Jon Carter’s
Mixmag compilation and also eagerly endorsed by Pete Tong on more than one
occasion. Pending releases include “Scissor Sisters” remix “Comfortably Numb”
released on Polydor which has already received the no.1 slot in December’s first
Buzz Chart. Another track set for stardom is the remix of Audio Bully’s ‘Snake’
also on Source Virgin.
2004 is set to be Marc’s best year yet with productions going through the roof
and on to every dance floor, residencies continuing at Ministry of Sound London
and Ibiza and also his first compilation mixed alongside Saville Row Record’s
Jon Carter due for release in March on Ministry of Sound.
You can also hear Marc ruling the airwaves with his new radio show on Ministry
of Sound radio every first Tuesday of the month. |
Bad Boy Bill says "Dom G is spreading the funkiest house vibes north of the
border!"
DJ Domenic G hails from Canada and is one of the happiest djs behind the decks.
Starting off playing various instruments like guitar and the trumpet Domenic has
always loved all forms of music. He made the transition to the dj world when he
was 15 years old. I remember hearing the house kick and the hat; it was the beat
that got me. Ever since then I have been hooked.
Not only a Dj Domenic started Fehrenheit Promotions years ago in order to expose
Calgary to different sounds of the worlds DJs. His events draw crowds of up to
5000 party goers and feature the worlds largest name djs. Domenic also holds
long time residencies which show case his various styles of house music. Known
for his banging party tunes Domenic also enjoys playing deep house as well.
Domenic is currently hosting Horizon Fridays at The Warehouse which showcases
his party style and Blue Saturdays at the cherry lounge shows allows Domenic to
play the deeper side of house music. All of his residencies are extremely
successful.
Domenic enjoys playing to crowds of any size; his largest gig was recently where
he performed in front of a crowd of 15000. Every dj wants to play the large
shows but there is something special about playing in a more intimate
environment, I think its the connection between the dj & the crowd. Some times
it feels like magic.
15 years later Domenics tireless dedication to house music hasnt wavered and has
helped him make the transition from dj to producer. Working in the studio with
the likes of Paranoid jack, Johnny Fiasco and Jon Delerious. Domenics first
release High stepping on Bug eyed records was well received and charted by major
djs and even hit number 2 on the ministry of sound charts. The recent success
has helped spawn a desire to create more original tracks. Having always been
involved in music through out his life Domenic began writing and producing music
after getting his first synthesizer in 1991. He eventually incorporated the
computer into his music making and is currently honing his skills in the studio
to create a much tighter sound.
"The Music biz has been fantastic and has opened many doors for me for which Im
truly thankful. "
During his career Domenic has played with names such as Carl Cox, Danny Teneglia,
Jon Digweed Pete Tong, Deep Dish, Mark Farina, Dj Sneak, Donald Glaude, Dj Dan,
Bad Boy Bill, Steve Smooth, Mauro Picotto, Tommy Lee, Hilary & Hailey Duff, Anne
Savage, Lisa Lashes, Christian Smith, Marco V, Misstress Barbara, Richie Hawtin,
John Acquviva, Myka, Big League Chu, , Josh Wink, John OO Fleming Derrick
Carter, Gabriel & Dresden, M.I.K.E.(Push), Paul Glazby, Cosmic Gate, Marco
Carola, Adam Freeland just to name a few. Domenic loves to play and is
constantly on the road playing gigs banging out energetic crowd pumping sets
with an aggressive mixing style! |

StoneBridge needs little or no introduction. Released in October 2004 to
overwhelming international acclaim, his debut artist album Can’t Get Enough made
StoneBridge a household name all over the world - The singles, ‘Put ‘Em High’
and ‘Take Me Away’, both UK Top Ten hits, have been released in over 24
countries.
Born in Stockholm, StoneBridge began Djing in the early eighties, spinning funk
and disco at his own night called Fellini. When the house sound of Chicago
dropped in the mid eighties, StoneBridge made an official switch to house and
started to remix tracks with a crew of other local DJs under the name SweMix.
The reputation grew and soon StoneBridge began remixing international acts like
De La Soul, Titiyo and Rebel MC. With his remix of Robin S ‘Show Me Love’ in
1993 that has become one of the biggest selling house records of all time,
StoneBridge established himself as a world class remixer and producer and he has
continued to work with a large ensemble of successful and famous artists,
including Lenny Kravitz, Missy Elliott, Robbie Williams, Will Smith, Texas,
Patti Labelle to mention a few.
StoneBridge’s highly successful label Stoney Boy keeps releasing club anthems
with his special brand of funky house and in 2007 his new single ‘SOS’ and
follow up artist album ‘Music Takes Me’ will see the light.
Being a DJ in demand, renowned for his sexy and pumping house, StoneBridge is
crisscrossing the world to places like San Francisco via Sao Paolo to Sydney
with several international residencies and regular slots secured including The
Cross in London and Family in Brisbane. StoneBridge's new mix album 'The Flavour
The Vibe' was released in summer 2006 following his exclusive iTunes mix Stoney
Boy Sessions Vol 1 earlier this year and the Dance Valley Sunrise double album
from 2005. Aside from guest appearances on various radio mix shows in Europe,
StoneBridge is also hosting a two-hour mix show for Sirius Satellite in the US

Ten years of classical piano training blended with percussion and saxophone
instruction warped DJ Kev into the world of Electronica, and it’s been a
thrilling ride for all involved! With an early start at the tender age of
15, DJ Kev started producing techno and funky house tracks, while eventually
progressing to live performances where he experienced the sheer thrill and
vertigo of spinning for a live crowd. Kev’s unique musical stylings result
in his own brand of Dirty Electro House: a heavy soul shaking sound with
dirty basslines and funky distorted beats. Kev loves music that rides the
subs and gets inside the soul of his crowd.
In the last six years, Kev has held residencies at Auxiliary, NYLA,
Manhattans, Limelight and J Bar, where he now runs one of the hottest
electronic club nights in Calgary. Bassic, named for Kev’s production and
promotion company, has been running for over two years and has been a key
player in reviving the electronic music craze in the city. TLE welcomes DJ
Kev with open arms to Ministry of Sound 2007 and we can’t wait to hear what
he throws down! |

Nordic Trax
www.djdelerious.com
His musical style, (when producing tracks and as a DJ) can be best described as a deep, funky house sound. Music has always been important to Jon, having learned to play drums as well as guitar at a very early age. Despite trying to experiment and find his musical passion by playing in bands, Jon's musical road has always led him back to the
turntables.
He was first drawn into and influenced by classic late 80's hip hop, disco and the funk found within these genres. Jon initially took interest in playing many different styles, but it wasn't until he uncovered house music that he found his true passion for DJing and later, production as well. One thing is certain about Jon, he has carved out a place in the studio and in the DJ booth that is uniquely his own.
Recently, Jon has felt his world move as his own style of house music has attracted attention from many notable DJ's and influential music magazines. His first EP on Canada's acclaimed Nordic Trax label, his "Heads Down EP" has brought Jon some international success and exposure. From diverse artists like Gilles Peterson through to Laurent
Garnier, who both charted and played the EP, his music proves to appeal to a diverse and varied audience. Charts and support are also seen from artists including Johnny Fiasco, George T, H-Foundation, Red Snapper, Charles Webster and Ali B among others. The title track from the EP, Orange Eyes, was used by Global Underground for Lee Burridge's NuBreed Vol.5 compilation as well as receiving radio support from BBC.
Jon is certainly poised and ready to take listeners somewhere they have never been before.
Jon has shared the limelight and played alongside such influential minds as Halo
Varga, John Acquaviva, Derrick Carter, Mark Farina, Christian Smith, Bad Boy Bill, Eddie Richards, Nick Holder, Ritchie
Hawtin, Junior Sanchez, DJ Dan, Gaetano Parisio, Trevor Rockliffe, Johnny Fiasco, DJ Sneak and DJ Disciple among others.
With ten years of DJing experience behind him, Jon Delerious continues to refine his skills as one of Canada's leading electronic musical innovators.

Faust began making his saucy mark on the local DJ scene in the 90’s
through the One Yellow Rabbit and Green Fools Theatres. After a chance
encounter with Sideshow Sid, they quickly discovered their mutual musical
genius, and were the first to launch all night Funk’n’Soul events in
downtown Calgary. Instituting “Electric Company” on CJSW, Faust went on to
start and establish two more ‘decidedly vintage-flavored dance nights’ at
Hifi and The Bamboo Tiki House. Both nights showcase Faust’s passionate
belief that disco, soul, breaks, House, and a little bit of funk-fuelled
mayhem can all meld together in one synonymous night, rooted in the past,
but with a dedicated nod toward the present and future.
“It’s all inspired by Loft parties in New York, in the early 70’s, they had
it all, bands, soul, disco, a ton of funk, anything that would inspire
movement. I guess I’m basically combining what I think it might have been
like, with the vision of Amsterdam clubs I went to when I spent summers
there in the 80’s, where teams of dancers would take the stage and lose
their s*** for James Brown, dancing up walls… ”
Whatever the motivation, Rob Faust has been bringing the best out in Fridays
and Saturdays, for years - accessible without cliché, and underground
without the clique. We can’t wait to hear Faust break out the flavor, the
best of the 70’s, 80’s, 90’s, and make the dance floor go crazy for those
who appreciate the finely-aged beats of our time! |

Establishing his UK roots at the tender age of 16, Sideshow Sid began
by rocking the Rockabilly in local London pubs. After weaning his ear from
the dogma of Rock’n’Roll, and placing it lovingly on the loud speaker of
Electronica, Sid went on to share decks with many of today’s dance icons –
those who helped to shape the genre into everything it is today.
“Club culture in London was a really small, close knit community”, Sid
remembers. "Now it's a multi-million dollar industry. But back then, if you
had any soul, funk, or reggae records, you were an anomaly. So…when things
exploded, it was just a case of being in the right place at the right time."
The right place and the right time took form of a pretty lady and a family,
and Sid hung up the headphones for a while. In 1994, the Sideshow Sid’s
migrated to Calgary and Sid nested in CJSW with strangled vowels,
non-sequiturs, and a wonderful array of everything from Jazz to Jungle.
You can check Sid out at various Calgary venues, and we at Thomas Lynch
Events certainly look forward to his original slew of tunes at New Year’s
2007 – take no prisoners, it’s the best of the 70’s, 80’s, and 90’s coming
to us from the Connoisseur of Party Tunes! |

Ministry of Sound, Underwater Records
Paul Jackson is one of the talented few who has made a name for himself through all music channels
- Dj, remixer, producer, and above all, a sure crowd-pleaser!
Darren Emerson signed Paul to Underwater Records back in January 2003 after Pete Tong made "The Push"
- a moody, ethnic-influenced epic, and Paul's second solo production effort, Essential New Tune. Released in April 2003, it quickly gained great critical acclaim from
Sasha, Jon Carter, Steve Lawler, and Annie Nightingale. In October, Jackson dropped 'Rock and Roll/The Way We Do It', a dark and heavy (yet beautiful and melodic) composition to enthusiastic and awaiting fans.
In January 2004 Jackson re-released 'The Push (Far From Here)', with a haunting vocal from Dirty Vegas' Steve Smith. The track sold over 20,000 copies, and had crowds electrified and screaming for more. Without a doubt, Paul has a unique style that exudes in all he creates, be it his dj sets, his remixes, or his own solo productions. Paul is considered one of Ministry of
Sound's best and brightest, and works extensively with the global super-giant of electronica and dance.
An ability to infuse dark melodic pieces into heavy driving beats has scored remixes with
Dido's 'Stoned', Gus Gus' 'Call of the Wild', The Donatella movement's "Get Ready",
Starbeach's 'Get Naked', and most recently has added his remixing abilities to Faithless' "Weapon of Mass Destruction" - a huge player for DJs around the globe. I must not forget to mention the awesome remixes for Bob Sinclair and TLC...
After DJing for over 15 years in all areas of the world, Paul still performs each set as if it were his first... with passion, excitement and for the sheer love of the music. If you are lucky to witness one of his sets, you can be assured that you will not stop moving until long after Paul reluctantly gives up the turntables. His ability to soulfully connect with the crowd has won him numerous residencies from Amnesia (Ibiza), The Cross (London), Ministry of Sound (London), Madrid, and of course, Underwater. Paul also plays regularly in all of the UK's leading clubs, as well as touring for dance music's leading labels and media outlets (including Subliminal, Defected, Radio 1 and MTV). Being no stranger to airport lounges, Paul has blessed over 50 countries with his amazing musical talents, and will be visiting Canada for the very first time!
Don't miss this exclusive New Year's Eve debut as Ministry of Sound, Paul Jackson, and the electronic club-circuit explode into Canada and take us on a whirlwind tour of the hottest club scene in existence.

Sydney Blu comes to us from Toronto’s massive world of nightclubs, where she holds a residency in the clubbers paradise of Guvernment. Playing for over 5000 partiers a night, Sydney Blu has established a massive reputation that is spreading like wildfire throughout the world. This dark-haired, blue-eyed beauty tells a true story of hobby-turned-career, and now produces as well as mixes – a recent co-production with Ludikris turned out to be a Juno Nominee, proving that female DJ’s can definitely make it in the male-oriented DJ and business world. Thomas Lynch Events has been dying to bring Sydney Blu to Calgary for a long time, and we’re super excited to be hosting this charmingly-adorable and scarily-talented DJ marvel. Visit
